Most leaders don’t lose time.
They lose control.
And it happens quietly.
A meeting here.
A request there.
A quick “can you jump on this?”
Before long, your calendar isn’t yours anymore.
It’s a collection of other people’s priorities.
If it’s not scheduled, it’s not real.
That’s the standard.
Your calendar should reflect:
Not just what shows up.
Because whatever gets scheduled… gets done.
I don’t leave this to chance.
Everything that matters is booked in advance.
It’s all visible.
It’s all intentional.
And it’s all decided before the week begins.
Typically, 3 months in advance, and if I need to move something, I move it.
But I try to NEVER delete it if I can avoid it.
This is where most people fall behind.
They wait.
They let the week fill up.
Then try to “fit in” what matters.
It doesn’t work.
High performers schedule their priorities first.
Before meetings.
Before requests.
Before distractions.
Because once your calendar is full, your options are gone.
Time blocking isn’t about being rigid.
It’s about creating structure for action.
When something has a place:
Without structure, everything competes.
And most things lose.
People think freedom is having an open calendar.
It’s not.
Freedom is knowing your priorities are already protected.
That’s why I plan:
Key blocks.
Key commitments.
Key outcomes.
Because when the important things are already scheduled, the day-to-day becomes easier.
You’re not reacting.
You’re executing.

You don’t “find time.”
You build it.
You don’t “get around to it.”
You schedule it.
And once it’s scheduled, it becomes real.
Open your calendar.
What’s actually scheduled that moves your life or business forward?
If it’s not there, it’s not happening.
Take one priority this week and lock it in.
Then build around it.
